Site work and paving for a civil project in Palm Desert, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
They do not have an Engineer's Estimate; however, for bonding purposes the project estimate is under $250,000. The contract documents call for monthly progress payments based upon the engineer's estimate of the measurement of work completed. The City will retain five (5) percent of each progress payment as security for completion of the balance of thework. At the request and expense of the successful bidder, the City will pay the amounts so retained upon compliance with the requirements of the Public Contract Code Section 22300 and the provisions of the contract documents pertaining to the Substitution of Securities. This project is to be completed within 90 Calendar Days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed with an interim completion of a specified portion of the project within 45 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. All questions must be put in writing and must be received by the City no later than 2:00 p.m., on July 9, 2019. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, to accept any bid or portion thereof, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of ninety (90) days For bonding purposes, the project is estimated between $500,000 and $600,000.
