Demolition and new construction of an educational facility in Kitimat, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 83,800-square-foot educational facility.
Construction of a replacement for the current Mount Elizabeth Middle Secondary School with a new facility that will incorporate space for community groups that could mutually benefit from being in a common building within the municipality of Kitimat. TIMELINE: Conceptual planning is underway. The project has been resubmitted as part of the owner's 2027-2028 Five-Year Capital Plan seeking provincial funding approval. Design, tender and construction schedules may be confirmed once funding is secured. Further update in fall 2027. Budget estimate is unconfirmed.
