Demolition and new construction of an educational facility in Kitimat, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 83,800-square-foot educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
Construction of a replacement for the current Mount Elizabeth Middle Secondary School with a new facility that will incorporate space for community groups that could mutually benefit from being in a common building within the municipality of Kitimat. TIMELINE: Request for Information and pre-qualification has closed, no award will result from this RFI. Project will require funding approval. Timelines for tenders and construction are undefined at this time. It is anticipated that the project may proceed to construction in about two years, pending approval of required funding. An update may be available in late fall, 2025. Budget estimate is unconfirmed.
