Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Orangevale, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot educational facility; for the renovation of a 7,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
RFQ Design-Build Casa Roble High School New Admin Building and Miscellaneous Modifications. Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") pursuant to Public Contract Code section 2264 to provide Design-Build ("D-B") design and construction services for the demolition of the existing administration building and the construction of a new 10,000 sf Administration building in its footprint along with a major renovation (complete interior demolition to structure) and re-purpose of the existing 7,000 sf Library/Counseling Center into a new Student Union which shall be opened up to the student quad for an indoor-outdoor flow at Casa Roble High School ("Project"). Site development may include the modification/removal of the CMU walls with ornamental fencing to open up the flow and view of the campus. Underground utility replacement and ADA path of travel as required by DSA will also be part of this project. Lastly, the project may also include a major renovation of Building A to accommodate a potential Career Technical Education (CTE) Biomed Program as part of the school's SCORE Academy. This scope will take place if the District's application for matching funds is approved which we should know within the next few months. The campus will be occupied during the project; therefore, temporary offices and Interim housing will also need to set-up. Critical Dates December 8, 2017 - Questions related to RFQ and answers released and posted to District website December 8, 2017 - RFQ Addenda issued and posted to District website (if required) January 5, 2018 - Shortlist and alternates published and RFP issued to shortlist January 19, 2018, 2:00 p.m. - Deadline to submit RFP questions via email January 23, 2018 - Questions related to RFP and answers released and posted to District website January 23, 2018 - RFP Addenda issued and posted to District website (if required) January 29- January 30, 2018 - Anticipated 90 minutes confidential meetings with proposers February 13, 2018, 2:00 p.m. - Final proposals due February 22, 2018 - Anticipated interview date (if applicable) February 23, 2018 - Anticipated District notification to intended awardee March 13, 2018 - Anticipated date of Board action on award Project Description The Scope of Work for the Project consists of the following: The Design-Builder will be responsible for all design, permitting, agency (including, without limitation, Division of the State Architect ["DSA"]) review and approval, construction and agency (including DSA) close-out of the Project, in accordance with the design criteria to be provided by the District. Construction of demolition/grading for new Administration building, the replacement and improvement of infrastructure and drainage systems as needed, access compliance upgrades to site and building components as required by DSA, re-purpose of the existing Library building and Building A,and underground utility replacement as necessary. License required: B General Building Contractor Anticipated submittal of Plans and Specifications to the Division of the State Architect:Before September 26,2018. Anticipated Start of Construction: Before April 10, 2019 Estimated Contract Term: 32 months
