Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Miami Beach, Florida. Design plans call for the construction of a multi-residential development.
APC offered five options for development at the Barclay for city officials to consider: Rehabilitate the Barclay into 41 units of workforce housing, averaging 600 square feet per unit. Substantially rehabilitate the Barclay and construct a five-story building, producing 71 units of workforce housing, averaging 599 square feet. In addition to the substantial rehabilitation of the Barclay, build a five-story building on site and another seven-story building on 23rd Street, producing 143 units of workforce housing averaging 683 square feet per unit. Substantially rehabilitate the Barclay with a co-living concept of 25 units of 815 square feet each, containing 78 bedrooms. Substantially rehabilitate the Barclay for workforce housing and build affordable housing on the 23rd Street site by utilizing low-income housing tax credits. This would create 113 units averaging 690 square feet. As of November 18, 2022, a developer is being sought out for this project. A timeline for construction has not been disclosed.
