Site work, paving and new construction of a road / highway in Lincoln, Nebraska. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a road / highway.
The East Beltway project consists of a 4-lane roadway designed to freeway standards, similar an Interstate. The general alignment for the East Beltway runs from I-80 east of the Highway 6 interchange to Nebraska Highway 2 approximately along the 127th Street alignment. As of September 23, 2021, this project is in the conceptual phase. The project is pending funding for construction. An engineer has not been selected. A firm timeline for construction has not been established, but not likely to start prior to 2049.
