Renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Midland, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 16,200-square-foot, two-story above grade, 32-unit elderly care / assisted living facility; and for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
This project is to construct a 32 Bed addition to the existing Villa long term care facility, including related common area addition and renovation, related exterior buildings, site work and landscaping, located at 658 King Street Midland, Ontario. It is anticipated that the construction documents will be ready for sub trade tendering by October 6th, 2024. Proposal submission requirements are outlined in the Construction Management Services Request for Proposal which is available from the architect as noted below. All inquiries shall be directed by email to ted@thandyarchitect.on.ca on or before 4:00:00 p.m. Monday September 23rd, 2024. Contractors interested in providing a proposal must submit a digital copy of their submission to the address noted below, by the closing deadline of 2:00:00 p.m. (local time) on Thursday September 26th, 2024. Submissions will only be considered where received by the closing date and time specified above. Submissions must be delivered to Ted Handy and Associates at the following address. Attention: Ted Handy, Ted Handy and Associates Inc, Architect, 76 Mary Street, Barrie, ON, L4N 1T1 and/or ted@thandyarchitect.on.ca Contractors interested in submitting are advised that the criteria for evaluation is as noted in the Request for Proposal and as follows: - Submission and satisfactory completion of CCDC-11 - Ability to provide the required Bid, Labour and Material, and Performance Bonds - Reference letter from Financial Institution - The proponent's Workplace Injury Summary Report from WSIB - Company Experience - Current Project Load - Project of similar size, program and scope (3 maximum) - include mechanical/electrical subtrades used - Ability to maintain and coordinate construction schedules - Ability to maintain cost control - Experience with Long Term Care Facilities - Experience with local trades - Experience with the Owner - References - Project Manager experience - Site Superintendant experience The Owner shall not be obligated to call upon any of the contractors to provide goods and/or services in response to this Request for Proposal, and reserves the right to select, at its sole discretion, only those contractors that it deems suitable and qualified to undertake the project. The submission of a proposal does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Owner to enter a contract with any party responding to this request.
