Site work and new construction of a civil project in Lions Head, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and road / highway.

Sealed bids marked "RFT 5440-21-02 Request for Tender for Construction of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation Water Treatment Plant" will be received electronically by Associated Engineering (Ont.) Ltd. via MERX from pre-qualified contractors based on RTP 21-03 for the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation Water Treatment Plant. NOTE - only the following pre-qualfied general contractors will be permitted to submit a tender in response to this request: AECON Water Infrastructure; BGL Contractors Corp; H2Ontario Inc.; and Industra Construction. The work involves (but is not limited to) the following: - Construction of a new greenfield 14.2 L/s water treatment plant (WTP) including below ground reservoir and 300 m intake into Georgian Bay. The new WTP (footprint of 25 x 25 m) will consist of a series of cast-in-place concrete tanks below grade supporting a steel superstructure. The steel superstructure will accommodate the process equipment mainly on the main floor and will have a partial second floor housing office and mechanical rooms. - Incorporation of a packaged treatment system in the above new WTP. It should be noted that the Owner has entered into a formal pre-selection agreement with BI Pure Water Inc. for supply of a packaged treatment system. The Owner will novate the pre-selectoin agreement with BI Pure Water Inc. for the packaged treatment system supply to the General Construction Contractor. - Access to the new WTP site via construction of an extension of Wilmer's Road from the intersection of Wilmer's Road and Pit Road 600 m east to the WTP site. An access road from the WTP down to the new low lift pump station at the shoreline will also be required. - Associated site restoration works. - Following commissioning of the new WTP, decommission the existing WTP. Note also that upgrades to the distribution system will be performed in parallel to the above under a separate general construction contract. Documents are available at: www.merx.com *Cost estimate - ISC has agreed to commit a total of $59.8M to the WTP project, while the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation (CNUFN) will contribute $700K of own funds.
