As of June 16, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: It is the intent of the City of North Port to request proposals from experienced and qualified engineering and architectural firms for professional services for new and existing public works facilities. Services include the review of the existing space needs analysis and the development of the design criteria and a design for the Public Services Facility Phase II and existing public works facilities. The City of North Port reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in whole, or in part, for any reason whatsoever, to waive informalities and to award separate contracts for each individual items, or a single contract for all items, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the City. All bids shall include all federal, state and local taxes. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The City of North Port does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, family or religious status in administration of its programs, activities or services.
