Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for the addition of a 191,000-square-foot transportation facility.

Plans call for the expansion/renovation of Concourse A. As of September 17, 2021, Trade Partners Prequalification has started and ends on 10/28/ 2021. Public Bidding Process scheduled for Q4 2021. Construction start scheduled for Q2 2022 with an overall duration of 26 months. Construction of a new, ground-up 191,000 SF, 10 Gate Concourse at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Construction will be on the NON-SECURE side of the airport, will require limited badging for scopes of work that will take place at the existing concourse and for individuals that will be on site when the project is transitioned to a secure site. This date will be provided with the bid documents. This project will have normal working hours with the exception of any scopes that take place in the existing airport. The Project will achieve Green Globe certification. The concourse will contain baggage handling systems, airline support, building support and building system spaces on the ramp level. The boarding level will contain holdrooms adjacent to the ten aircraft parking positions, restrooms, food and beverage and retail store concession space, vertical circulation, restrooms and other support space. The upper mezzanine will house some concession space office space, restrooms and other support functions. The concourse building will include ten Passenger Boarding Bridges (Owner Provided) and power and telecommunications infrastructure as part of this project.
