Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The purpose of the overall Project is to perform bridge repairs for two structures and seismically analyze three structures to determine retrofit measures for the identified vulnerable elements based on a full (Phase 1 & Phase 2) seismic retrofit approach. This contract is to provide technical consultation and expertise to the Owner (Agency) to select the Bridge Consultant and review the Bridge Consultant's work. The project includes engineering and construction contract administration for the bridge repairs generally described as: Bridge #06648 (Willamette River, Coburg Rd, aka Ferry Street Bridge): Cleaning, preparation and spot paint, concrete overlay and other repairs per inspection report. Bridge #40056 (Ferry Street over SPRR, 4th, 6th, 7th Avenues, aka Viaduct): Deck sealing, crack repairs to girder top/deck interface, epoxy injection cracks, repair spalling. The project will also include the seismic analysis and preliminary design for seismically strengthening on bridges #06648, 40056, and 07214A (Coburg Rd Ferry Street Connection to Hwy 1). The preliminary design for seismic strengthening will include geotechnical investigations, seismic evaluation of bridge elements, future EmX loading where appropriate, and preliminary design and cost estimate of seismic retrofits. The work will be documented in a preliminary design report for the bridges. The 3 structures were identified in a seismic vulnerability assessment of 56 City bridges documented in a report titled - Final Vulnerability Assessment and Recommendation Report ("Report"), January 29, 2016. The final Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) package for the repair work is due by April 10, 2021
