The project is located at the Public Works Facility, 1600 Prairie Drive, Medina, Minnesota. The existing building contains approximately 200,000 gross square feet. The project is to be completed in two phases. Each phase consists of General, Mechanical, and Electrical remodeling of an existing two-story steel and masonry public works facility containing offices, shops and support functions. The main level remodeling consists of 35,710 square feet including new offices, upgrades to finishes, and alternations to mechanical, electrical, and technology within an open office plan. The remodeling at the garage level includes 19,300 square feet consisting of offices and shop spaces constructed ofmetal stud and concrete block partitions including associated finishes and mechanical, electrical, and technology upgrades. This secure facility is critical to the function ofHennepin County, as a result maintaining connectivity ofpower, data as well as access for vehicles and personnel are critical to the daily operations ofHennepin County
