Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Artesia, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

To hire an engineer and contractor from the CES listing for the Community Center: Plan, Design, Construct, Remodel Phase 3 of the Community Center, stage & gym Improvements. This would include removing and replacing old flooring with new flooring in gym. Repair, stucco and painting of exterior walls. Some electrical upgrades are need and ADA compliant is needed in the gym. Phase 3 would repair outer wall west of stage that has sever structural damage with new sheetrock and drywall. Floor needs replaced due to past termite damage. The stage area needs electrical brought up to code and needs renovated since it is over 50 years old and has had no repairs in that time frame. A new roof is needed. The community uses the building for family events, a meeting place for the 4-H, Senior Citizens, Meals on Wheel's drop off, Trapper's meetings, Hunter Safety classes, holiday parties and a place to hold dances. The gym is where the Hope reunion is held. Phase 1 and Phase II have been completed with prior CDBG funds. The Community Center replaced windows, doors, drop ceiling, remolded bathrooms, kitchen. As of September 18 2019, this project is currently in the FY 2020-2024 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2020. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2020 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
