Site work for a civil project in Navajo, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
To construct a waterline extension for twelve (12) homes to residents within the Green Knoll area (2.8 miles). The main waterline will be 8" PVC pipe which will narrow down to 6", 4" and 2 "waterline depending on the location. The project will include a legal survey, arch clearance, environmental assessment, plan, design, and construction for the waterline extension. Funding for all assessments, planning, and design have been secured by Navajo Nation Sihasin Funds. The project will require 4500-gallon storage. Crystal Chapter will work and coordinate with the Office Environmental HealthIndian Health Services in completing this project. Navajo Tribal Utility Authority will own and maintain the waterline extension after completion and the Navajo Nation will be the fiscal agent for the project. The project is included in the city’s 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of January 26, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
