Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Salem Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

The project involves the replacement of three (3) existing 3 span structures carrying SR 81 NB and SB traffic over SR 3007 and Big Wapwallopen Creek, as well as the replacement of an existing one span structure carrying SR 81 NB traffic over SR 3010 and a culvert extension carrying SR 81 NB traffic over the Trib to Big Wapwallopen Creek along with approach roadway improvements. Replacement structures include three (3) single span P/S concrete spread box beam bridges with MSE wingwalls / abutments on steel piles and one (1) single span P/S concrete PA bulb tee beam bridge on steel piles. Additional work includes excavation, access road construction, shoulder work of culvert approaches, E & S control measures, guide rail and right-of-way fence replacement, rumble strips, pavement markings, permanent signing, and other miscellaneous construction work as necessary. Traffic will be accommodated using long term lane shifts to complete staged construction as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 0081, SECTION D52 in LUZERNE COUNTY, DORRANCE TOWNSHIP from a point approximately 3.6 miles North of I-80 Interchange Exit #151 at Segment 1541 Offset 1727 (Station 754+90.00 SB) to a point at Segment 1551 Offset 0943 (Station 798+00.00 SB) and from Segment 1540 Offset 1065 (Station 749+50.00 NB) to a point at Segment 1550 Offset 0600 (Station 796+50.00 NB) and from a point at Segment 1560 Offset 0210 (Station 844+59.00 NB) to a point approximately 2.7 miles South of SR 3009 Interchange Exit #159 at Segment 1570 Offset 1068 (Station 905+95.00 NB) with a total work area length of 14,521.00 feet (2.750 miles).
