Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Nakaibito, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for site work for a power facility; and for the construction of a power facility.
To plan, design and construct 8 miles of scattered powerline extensions for 15 community members. The project will include the securing the ROW, the cultural resource inventories, the environmental assessments, the planning and construction of the powerline. The houses that are not eligible for powerline extensions will qualify for solar systems. The Chapter Staff will work with Navajo Tribal Utility Authority, and Community Housing and Infrastructure Department to complete the project. The project will be completed in 14 months. The project will managed by Mexican Springs Chapter. Once built the powerline extension will be owned and operated by Navajo Tribal Utility Authority. The Navajo Nation will be the fiscal agent for the project. The project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
