Description: Construction of Raised Concrete Islands and Leftovers on Us 13/nc 11 (Memorial Drive) in Greenville, Pitt County. The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the above referenced project. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and any other items necessary for the completion of this contract. The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the regulations of the Department of Transportation (49 CFR, Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin. This project proposes 1.5" milling and resurfacing for the full width of the existing asphalt pavement on NC 11 (Memorial Drive) from Maxwell Street located 765' south of SR1598 (Dickinson Avenue) to end TIP Project U-3315 -Y1- STA. 26+26.00;begin TIP Project U-3315 -Y1- STA. 10+62.50 to Pitt Bridge No. 38 and 39 at the Tar River (excluding areas within the limits of the U-3315 project), Construct Monolithic Concrete Islands/ Landscaped Divider Islands along NC 11 (Memorial Dr) from Carolina Coastal Rail Crossing to NC43 (Fifth Street), Provide southbound leftover north of Moye Blvd., Provide northbound and southbound leftovers at South Village Drive, Provide northbound and southbound leftovers between O'Hagan Place and NC 43 (Fifth Street) and the application of Pavement Markings and Pavement Markers.
