Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Tohatchi, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility.

The project is to plan and design, and construct a new warehouse on the Tohatchi chapter Compound including utilities (electric, natural gas, water,wastewater, house wiring and other types of equipment) on already withdrawn land. Phase #1: The Tohatchi Chapter Staff is currently working with the Navajo Nation Capital Projects Management Department (CPMD) and an Architect to complete the Plans and Design of the Warehouse Building. The Plans and Design is currently being worked on by LAM Corporation which he slated to be completed by February 2021. The proposed building is 40'x75' that will be used to store the Chapter's heavy equipment (six heavy equipment's) which is currently being stored at a private residential home. This is in violation of the Navajo Housing Authority polices and furthermore, the Auditors have also charged the Chapter with an Audit Finding and strongly recommends remediation. Phase II: The Phase II consists of the construction of Warehouse and hooking-up the utilities, both the main or primary utilities and inside the Warehouse. the proposed site is on withdrawn land and within Chapter property with access to Electric, Natural, Water, and Wastewater utilities. Construction can begin in July 2021 if the project can be funded. The Chapter has allocated $25,000 in matching funds toward the project. The Tohatchi Chapter will own, operate and maintain the building. The Navajo Nation will be the fiscal agent. The project is included in the New Mexico’s Department of Finance and Administration 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
