Saving Project...

Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is proposing a $13 billion plan to elevate the Embarcadero by seven feet and put up flood barriers in zones along Aquatic Park and Heron's Head Park to protect the city from flood damage due to rising sea levels. The project would also raise the Ferry Building and roads along the Embarcadero. As of February 2, 2024, this project is being proposed and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have released a draft plan for the project. The project needs approval from congress. Congress would pay about 65% of the project and the rest is to be funded by the state or the city. Project involves obtaining public comment by 2025. Congress would then vote on it in 2026. If approved, the whole project is anticipated to be completed by 2024. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources. The content management team continues to pursue additional details; however, the contact(s) listed have yet to disclose or confirm any information.
