Turkey Run 1 MG Steel GST Rehabilitation: [General repair and replacement of protective coating of one approximately 1,000,000-gallon ground storage tank.] i) Scope of Contract (1) The City of Copperas Cove has a one-million-gallon water storage tank that is to be rehabilitated and repainted under the terms of this contract. General information on the tank is provided at the end of this document in the Engineering Reports of Inspection. The work to be performed under these specifications includes the rehabilitation, repainting and structural steel repairs of the water storage tank. (2) The tank is located at 1420 Golf Course Road, Copperas Cove, TX 78634. Containment is required during exterior abrasive blasting operations to protect the environment. The existing protective coating systems contain approximately less than 1% lead by weight. (3) It shall be the responsibility of the bidders to carefully inspect the site and all pertinent parts and devices on the tank to ascertain the quantity of surface preparation, necessary repairs and painting required to clean the tank properly, paint, repair and place the tank back into operation in accordance with these contract specifications. The information on the tank provided in the Engineer's Reports of Inspection is general in nature and should not be relied upon to determine bid quantities or other bidding factors. : The work shall be substantially completed within 90 Calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 5.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 9.06 of the General Conditions within 120 Calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run
