As of May 21, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. This project is located in Green Township; inside Hamilton County, but outside of the city of Cincinnati. The work for this project will occur almost entirely underground, beginning at 6615 Glenway Ave under the public right-of-way and continue south on Glenway Ave, bearing right onto Westbourne Ave and terminating at 5451 Werk Rd, at the intersection of Werk and Westbourne. The proposed Dry Weather Channel for Combined Sewer 937 will repair structural deficiencies in the sewer as well as install a 5,640 linear feet dry weather flow channel along the existing combined sewer. This project is located in the Muddy Creek sewer shed of the West Basin in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio between the intersections of Werk Road / Westbourne Drive and Glenway Avenue / Bridgetown Road. All bidders will also be subject to the provisions of the Contract Compliance Program regarding equal employment opportunity and to the project's applicable labor wage rate. For "Construction" projects as defined in Section 4115.03 of the Revised Code, the successful Bidder and all of its subcontractors, regardless of tier, will strictly comply with its obligation to pay a rate of wages on the Project not less than the rate of wages fixed for this Project under Section 4115.04 of the Revised Code. Additionally, for such "Construction Projects," the successful Bidder will comply with all other provisions of Chapter 4115 of the Revised Code. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to advertise for new bids, if the best interests of the City will be promoted thereby. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by the 'Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond,' certified check, or letter of credit drawn on a solvent bank in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, and in no event shall be less than five hundred dollars ($500.00). Bidder shall also submit a completed Addenda Acknowledgment Form with the bid. In addition to other documents, after the Bid Opening and upon notification, the apparent lowest and best bidder will need to obtain proof of Workers Compensation coverage and a certificate of insurance within ten (10) business days, naming the City as the primary insured and the Hamilton County, Ohio Board of County Commissioners as an additional insured.
