The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete replacement of the existing twin, two-span, 52' long, concrete and timber parallel bridges, with twin parallel single span, 62' long precast box beam bridges with a reinforced concrete deck wearing surface, reinforced concrete abutments, and footings supported by driven steel Hpiles. The work also consists of the construction of a permanent cofferdam, temporary sheeting, stand-alone steel utility crossing, relocation of an existing water main, minor drainage, approach roadway reconstruction, new curbing, sidewalk, permanent and temporary ADA ramps, as well as new guide rail. Construction shall be staged utilizing median crossovers with temporary pavement to allow a single bridge replacement at a time while simultaneously allowing two-way traffic on the adjacent structure.
