Site work for a municipal facility in Medina, Ohio. Design plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
As of December 2020, this project is currently in the design phase. Currently the site utilities/foundation package is scheduled to be ready for bids mid-April 2021. The balance of the project is scheduled to be ready for bids early July 2021. The next steps include new design development cost estimates based on the changes. The scope of the project was reduced from an estimated cost of $38 million to $30 million after the city of Medina has dropped out of the project. In turn, the architect has developed new plans with the city not part of the project. In the new renditions, the courthouse features 107,300 square feet, a difference from the original plans for 135,400 square feet. There will be 86,300 square feet of new construction, down from the original 114,400 square feet, and 21,000 square feet of renovation, the same as the previous plans. Construction is expected to begin in the spring.
