The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (Commission) is a Bi- County agency responsible for the maintenance, design, construction, repair and rehabilitation of park and recreation facilities in Montgomery and Prince George's County, Maryland. The Commission is seeking qualified Contractors to provide construction services for mechanical upgrades and improvements to the Cabin John Ice Rink located at 10610 Westlake Drive, Rockville, MD 20852. The scope of work is comprised of a refrigeration system upgrade including, but not limited to, the demolition of two existing ice surfaces, the construction of new refrigerated floors and the installation of a low charge ammonia system with energy recovery. This Request for Qualifications (RFQu) will be the first phase of a two-step procurement and only those firms who are pre-qualified as a result of this RFQu will be eligible to receive the fully detailed Invitation for Bid (IFB). No monetary award will be made as part of this Solicitation. The anticipated budget for this project will be between $1,500,000 and $2,500,000.
