Demolition, paving, environmental remediation, new construction and remodeling of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for the construction of a multi-residential development.
Redevelopment of four Toronto Community Housing sites. The majority of the existing low-rise rental units are large household units (3,4, and 5 bedrooms) and must be replaced by bedroom type. That is each revitalized community much have at least the same number of 3,4, and 5-bedroom rental units respectively as the original development. The four locations are; Edgeley Village Jane St. and Shoreham Dr. (31 acres) 459 apartment units and 444 low rise units. O'Connor West of Victoria Park Dr, south of Eglinton Ave. E (16 acres) 336 apartment units and 144 low-rise units. Thistletown South of Albion Rd, east of Martin Grove Dr. (36.6 acres) 554 low rise units. Warden Woods East of Warden Ave, south of St. Clair Ave. E. (24.2 acres) 507 apartment units and 230 low-rise units. TIMELINE: A Request For Expressions of Interest from developers to express their interest in partnering with TCHC on the development of one or more of the four sites was issued by the owner in 2020. No awards resulted from this call, it is not determined when or it it may be reissued. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
