Renovation of a power facility in Port Angeles, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
As of May 15, 2025, this project is no longer taking place. Replace the Washington St substation switchgear. Washington Street substation provides power to roughly 1,000 residential/commercial customers within the City limits, including Olympic Medical Center. To ensure the reliability of the substation, the failing switchgear will be replaced. Project is included in the City of Port Angeles' FY 2023-2028 CIP. As of May 17, 2023, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Funding is anticipated in 2023.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
