Reconstruction of TREMONT BOULEVARD from Covell Avenue to Ravine Drive; Resurfacing of TREMONT BOULEVARD from Ravine Drive to Mount Mercy Drive and RAVINE DRIVE from Tremont Boulevard to Fourth Street; and Water Main Replacement in SIMPSON COURT from Tremont Boulevard to North End, BEECHTON DRIVE from Tremont Boulevard to North End, and TREMONT COURT from Tremont Boulevard to North End; and Shared Use Path in TREMONT BOULEVARD from Shawmut Blvd. to Mount Mercy Dr. This work consists of the full reconstruction and partial resurfacing. Water main replacement, minor storm upgrades. Geometric enhancements, share path installation and ADA upgrades. The successful Bidder shall furnish satisfactory performance and payment/lien bonds, each in an amount equal to the total contract price on all projects for which the contract amount is $50,000 or more. On a project by project basis, performance and payment/lien bonds may be required on projects for which the contract price is less than $50,000. Such bonds shall conform to the regulations of the City and the requirements specified in the laws of Michigan. A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids.
