Site work for a water / sewer project in Schefferville, Quebec. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Upgrades to the drinking water system to increase the capacity of the water treatment plant. Construction will include three lots: rehabilitation of the dam that controls the level of the drinking water source, upgrades of the drinking water plant and replacement of the wastewater treatment system. TIMELINE: Working drawings are close to completion. Tenders for general contractor are anticipated in late September/early October, 2025. Construction will be carried out in 2026/2027. Note: The Matimekush-Lac John community and the city of Schefferville have formed an intercommunity board to build and operate the infrastructure. The Board will therefore publish tender calls.
