Addition to a parking garage in Shreveport, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a parking garage.
Established by Ordinance No. 137 of 2010. The scope of this project is to construct additional parking capacity at the parking garage near RiverView Theater, RiverView Hall and Barnwell Center. This project will provide for the construction of two additional floors on the parking garage at Milam Street and Clyde Fant Parkway, which was originally designed to accommodate additional levels. This project will offer additional parking for patrons of Riverfront facilities including Barnwell Center, RiverView Theater and RiverView Hall and will support economic development activities in the area. The project utilizes funding from the Downtown Parking Enterprise Fund. As of March 28, 2024, this project is currently on hold. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
