Site work and new construction of a library in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a 16,000-square-foot library.
Design and build a 16,000 sq ft Twin Beaches Branch Library.Space will be flexible and adaptive for a variety of functions and age groups. Services will include materials for borrowing, classes and events for all ages, computers for public use, information services, meeting rooms, quiet study space and areas for children, teens and adults. A Library Capital Grant from the state of MD has been obtained and further grants from that program are possible. North Beach has deeded land for this project to the County. This project is included in the county's fy 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of May 18, 2023, further details regarding firm construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
