STIP ID WDO-460 The strip seal expansion joints on these structures have reached the end of their usable service life and need replacement. This project will replace the expansion joints to extend the service life of the structures. Replace expansion joint on bridges 705/6N-E, 705/10N-N, 705/6S-N, 705/6W. As of February 24, 2023, this project is in Design status. Preliminary engineering is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2022 and environmental design is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2023. The contract advertisement is expected in Second quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the third quarter of 2023. WSDOT - I-705/I-5 to Pacific Ave - Expansion Joint Replacement Stage 3 *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
