No bids have been received. The project includes but is not limited to: Repairs and renovations of the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) Pacific Seas Aquarium Baja Bay Exhibit Repairs. All work shall be while the exhibit remains open, with the animals and performed with diving operations. 1. Evaluation of the various repair conditions described in the drawings, specifications, and 2021 report on findings. The contractor shall perform their own dive inspection upon award to validate the scope of work and make any further recommendations to the owner regarding the level of effort, methods used, and cost assumptions. 2. Treatments of the joints in the plenum between the structure and the plumbing in order to seal and prevent further erosion/failure. 3. Treatment of corroding structural steel evident from rust appearing through the exhibit lining, underwater application of new structural concrete and underwater application of new high performance underwater coating. 4. Removal of existing fiberglass failures to sound material through grinding and underwater application of epoxy putty to seal the edges. 5. Treatment of silicone seal failures and application of new seal. Installation of removable physical barrier over silicone seal to prevent further failures, caused by tank animals grazing, that matches the radius of the acrylic panel.
