Site work, new construction and renovation of a municipal facility in North York, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Development of 35 and 75 Vanley Cres, for construction of a New Permanent Staff Facility. The scope of work will include expansion of the existing administrative building (building 250) to construct a new standalone staff building at the north east corner of Chesswood Dr. This will be accomplished by adding 359 square metres to the existing building 250 (Part A) for the Processing and Resource Management (P&RM) unit. It is proposed that the expanded building will consists of two levels: ground floor and the second floor to match the existing floor levels of Building 250. Part B of the project consists of constructing a new building located at the north east corner of the site at Chesswood Dr. for the Infrastructure Development and Asset Management (ID&AM) unit. Service vehicles to be routed through the existing Vanley Cres entrance to maintain separation of traffic. Recommended floor area for new building is 5470 square metres. This building consists of two levels: basement (below ground), ground floor and the second floor. TIMELINE: The engineer has completed preliminary engineering design in 2020. No funds were allocated for this site. Tender and construction is not expected to proceed. Coverage of this report is discontinued. An architectural study was completed by Strasman Architects in 2017.
