The proposed extension of Arcadia Boulevard runs through two subdivision developments: Marble Canyon and The Trails at Black Mountain. Plats for these subdivisions delineate an alignment for Arcadia Boulevard through a majority of the project area. This will be a new two-lane north-south roadway extending Arcadia Boulevard from Rio Vista Road to Black Mountain Road. Approximately 3,500 feet of new road will be placed, and will include drainage crossings of Big Montana Wash and other tributaries which cross the proposed alignment. Traffic on the Parkway and Highway 95 will be reduced and provide emergency access along the corridor. Sedimentation basins along the upstream side of the roadway will help reduce sedimentation buildup after storm events. The roadway will be planned to allow for the future widening to 5 lanes. The acquisition of the right-of-way will be paid for with Flood Control funds and construction will be paid for by HURF. As of May 1, 2024, this project is currently in the City of Bullhead City's FY 2023-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed.
