Extension of the Hwy 19. The project will reshape Route 335, currently a four-lane road, into a six-lane extension of Hwy 19. The project includes bus, electric vehicles and carpooling reserved lanes. Four interchanges are planned (at Dagenais East Boulevard, Saint-Saëns East Street, Des Laurentides Boulevard and Des Mille-Îles Boulevard, and Road 344 (Adolphe-Chapleau Boulevard). The scope of the project also includes the redevelopment of the interchange Hwy-640/Road 335, construction of a new bridge located east of the Athanase-David Bridge, a 690-place incentive parking and a terminus in the northeast quadrant of the Highway 19 and Highway 640 interchange, construction of noise barriers in various sectors located around the Hwy in urban sectors. TIMELINE: Project is implemented by construction packages. First construction package has been publicly tendered, awarded and is followed in the report under CRM Id name Extension of Highway 19. Construction is underway. Tenders for subsequent construction packages are anticipated in 2024 and will be followed in new separate reports. Notes: - Founding of this project is a part of a commitment by the Government of Canada for a contribution of $ 260 million for construction of reserved lanes and road upgrades. - Consortium CIMA+/Stantec was awarded for construction work supervision following RFP 3113-23-HA01, contract amount: $9,588,665. - Firm Englobe Corp was awarded to carry out quality control of soils and materials and their implementation during construction work following public RFP 3113-23-KA01, contract amount: $3,165,119.
