Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in California, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The 192-acre property on the Patuxent River was acquired for a county park in January 1997 and has been open for public use for hiking, picnicking, nature study and other passive uses since that time. The Commissioners of St. Mary's County adopted a park master plan in October 2005 that formally established Myrtle Point as a nature park. Park facilities and amenities presented in the master plan include a canoe and kayak launch, picnic areas, trails, restrooms, environmental boardwalks, parking, and shoreline access. Funding is requested in FY2020 for design and engineering and park development in FY2022. As of March 12, 2021, this project is currently in the St. Mary's County FY 2021-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2022. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2022. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
