Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Embrun, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,000-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

The new EMS facility will be a minimum of 7,000 square feet and will house a drive through garage, office and administrative area, living area and equipment storage. The drive-through garage bay will have four (4) parking spaces for emergency vehicles, have proper floor drainage and have enough space to clean and wash vehicles inside the garage. This facility will be designed and constructed to a post-disaster standard and shall include both monitored fire alarms and sprinkler systems as well as back-up generators. The facility will also be connected to municipal water and sewers. - Minimum space sizes as shown on the Medical Facility sketch; - Sufficient parking spaces; - Internal design of office space to allow for future changes in systems and methods; - The configuration of the building in relation to the proximity of the various rooms and spaces (relationship of rooms and spaces to each other); - Number and types of apparatus to be used in the building, number of personnel (fulltime, volunteer, or both) needed for their operation, and types of office function to be conducted at the station; - Sufficient space for public education officer(s), audio visual storage and bulletin boards. - All board/classroom setup to be considered; - Sufficient storage space for files, equipment, material etc.; - Use of low maintenance building materials; - Zone heating, automated - Easy-cleanable wall material, double-glazed window assemblies and insulated walls and doors. *Estimated construction budget is 2.2 million. *Construction is complete.
