The City of Morgan Hill is requesting proposals from qualified firms for design services for the design of the expansion of the Villa Mira Monte Historical Site in Morgan Hill. The consultant chosen for this Project will be expected to collaborate and work with the City and Historical Society through the initial Design Development for the site. Design Development shall include support in identifying all project priorities and components to be included in the expansion. The Design Development process should include an interactive process with the representatives of the Historically Society and City Staff that considers: Morgan Hill Historical Society space needs and desired expansion components Compatibility with existing structures and grounds Interpretation of all planning and building codes as well as requirements for the site related to its formal historical designation Maintenance and operation costs associate with the identified components Public park access to various areas of the site Parking needs for the desired components The chosen consultant will be expected to analyze the existing site conditions, available space for expansion, and defined needs identified through the interactive process to develop program priorities for the expansion.
