Renovation of a water / sewer project in East Palo Alto, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project provides funding for the assessment, repair, and retrofit of the RWQCP's concrete and metal structures; the replacement of necessary RWQCP equipment and ancillary facilities to maintain treatment reliability and existing infrastructure; and the replacement of large diameter flow meters built into the wastewater treatment system on sewers, pipes, and water lines. Tasks and funding previously budgeted in three separate maintenance related projects, WQ-80021, WQ80022, and WQ-04011, were consolidated and budgeted in this one recurring project. This project is included in the City of Palo Alto's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 31, 2022, a general contractor has been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined but is anticipated to be completed by October 2022. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
