ROC Tie Upgrade/Redline Tie Replacement, Drainage, Subgrade Improvements. The period of performance under this Contract for Group 1 shall be for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days, unless otherwise extended by METRO. The period of performance under this Contract for Group 2 shall be for one hundred fifty (150) calendar days, unless otherwise extended by METRO. Not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price is required if the bid price is over $100,000.00. (See Instructions to Bidders, paragraph G.) A performance bond shall be required if the Contract amount is over $100,000.00. A payment bond shall be required if the Contract amount is over $25,000.00. Bonds shall be executed for one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the Contract. (See Contract Articles 'Performance and Payment Bonds' and 'Additional Bond Security' in Section III) METRO anticipates the award of multiple firm fixed price type contracts as a result of this solicitation. METRO reserves the right to inspect the construction and installation of any part of the work at any time and/or modify whenever deemed necessary by METRO. METRO reserves the right to add to or deduct work from the contract without altering the unit prices. All questions pertaining to this solicitation shall be presented IN WRITING to the above METRO representative no later than 5:00pm on November 5, 2019
