The Work is described in the Project Drawings and Divisions 1 through 48 of the Project Manual. SCOPE 1: SITE IMPROVEMENTS (RP.E0118017B): The work Includes the areas as indicated on the drawings & specifications and as consists of the following: Desert native gardens (0.5 Acres); Open play turf (5.6 Acres); four (4) -Run Dog park (2 Acres); One (1) precast/fabricated Restroom building; Associated roadway and park entry area (sidewalk, roadway paving, markings, etc.); Monument signage and Directional signage. SCOPE 2: SNPLMA WALKING TRAIL (RP.E0121052): The work covered under SNPLMA grant shall include Davis Bacon wages for all labor and includes the following: 1.26 miles of 10-0 wide concrete trails; (3) 16-0 X 16-0 shade structures; (3) Picnic tables with integral benches each side; (4) Distance demarcations inscribed in the trail at quarter points along the trail; (8) Interpretive signs; (8) Mitigation signs; (4) Trash receptacles and (2) Pet station bag dispensers. Construction includes all administrative work as outlined in the Division 01 General Requirements and the following using materials noted on Drawings and Specifications: Construction includes prefabricated structures, site work, landscape, irrigation and utilities using materials noted on Drawings and specified herein. Prior to performing work between February 15 and August 31, the Contractor must engage a Bureau of Land Management qualified biologist to survey the construction area for nests prior to the commencement of the construction activities. The survey shall include burrowing and ground nesting species in addition to those nesting in vegetation. If any active nests, containing eggs or young are found, an appropriately sized buffer area must be installed so that the area is avoided until the young birds fledge. The contractor shall notify BLM Wildlife staff at 702-515-5000 at least 10 days before the initiation of the project. The purpose of the notification is to ensure that the proper education program is given and to review expectations for compliance with the terms and conditions of the biological opinion.
