Summary of Work: The McAllen Youth Baseball Complex - Miracle Field project consists of a Miracle Field layout plan, construction of the field to include, as needed, removal of existing grasses areas, re-grading of proposed Miracle Field playing area, installation of synthetic playing surface meeting "Miracle League" specifications with verification that material is 100% latex free and bidder demonstrating to be an approved Miracle League Surface Vendor, installation of any additional required outfield fencing, One "Miracle League" scoreboard with wireless controller. Work to include grading, erosion control, re-vegetation, and other appurtenances. Project site is located at the McAllen Youth Baseball Complex, 8201 N. 29th Street, McAllen, TX. A Bidder's Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or certified Cashier's Check, (Bid Security) payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for the amount of not less than five percent of the total bid shall be submitted via a sealed envelope as a guaranty that if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of McAllen. The Bidder's bid security shall be submitted before the above-mentioned electronic bid opening date and time. Failure to submit the bid security shall be grounds for disqualification. Potential bidders are asked to post their questions on our bidding portal under the tab labeled "Clarifications" under the relative project number. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the Bid considered the best value to the City, and to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days without taking action.
