Renovation of a theater / auditorium in San Pedro, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
As of June 7, 2023, this project is currently in the Construction Document Phase and plans have been submitted for review. Information regarding a design team and a general contractor is not available. A timeline for construction has not been determined. Plans include: Installing an elevator and elevator lift for those with disabilities. Restroom upgrades. A new guest lounge and terrace space on the mezzanine. Heating, air-conditioning, lighting and fire system upgrades. Restoring historic ceilings, walls, columns, pilasters, flooring, railings and an expansion of the concession service, along with seismic retrofitting and auditorium upgrades. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ……………….. The City of Los Angeles is seeking an Architectural Consultant to assess the current condition of the Warner Grand Theatre and develop a scope of work for renovations and upgrades to meet current codes. Consultants are to provide concept plans and estimates that factors: historical, ADA, architectural, structural, MPE, fire life safety, security, tele/data, etc. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
