Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Lees Summit, Missouri. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Project is included City of Lees Summit FY 2023-2027 The project will improve Colbern Road from M350 Highway to Douglas Street. The road will be widened to 4 lanes with turn lanes. Work required for this project includes traffic analysis and engineering, surveying, horizontal and vertical design, curb and gutter, enclosed storm drainage, sidewalk, shared-use path, water main installation, culvert extensions or replacements, bridge work for vehicular traffic and bicycle/pedestrian accommodations over the UPRR, intersection, roundabout and signal design, street lighting, environmental permitting, and utility relocation in accordance with established SUE quality levels. The project may also include water quality BMPs, sustainable design elements, and landscaping, if appropriate. The sidewalk and shared-use path will be extended beyond the project limits to connect with the existing sidewalk and shared-use path along Colbern Road. The work will be done in accordance with MODOT LPA Manual standards for STP projects receiving federal funding. As of August 5, 2022 this project is in design. Construction is estimated to occur in 2023-2024
