Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Replacement of the two-lane bridge structure with a four-lane bridge that would include sidewalks and a cycling path. The current bridge links Point Douglas & Elmwood across the Red River. TIMELINE: Concept plans are complete. Council has directed engineering staff to proceed with the planning and design works. Timelines for design RFP are unconfirmed. Provincial funding will be required. Further update may be available spring 2025.
