Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Fort Hunt, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of the Little Hunting Creek Pump Station Rehabilitation project, located in Fairfax Countys Mount Vernon District at 8600 Stockton Parkway, Fort Hunt, VA 22308. The work shall include the following: The demolition and replacement of: pumps and all associated piping, valves, gates, and actuators; switchgear, VFDs, and all associated conduits and wiring; and HVAC system and ducts. Additionally: structural repairs to the roof, exterior retaining walls, and wall cracks; installation of a wastewater grinder and modifications to the influent channels; and the installation of a permanent emergency wastewater bypass piping system, which is wet-tapped into the forcemain outside of the building. All work is to be done while maintaining continuous pumping operations throughout the project. This is a Lump Sum price Contract. Contract length is 555 calendar days. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the opening thereof. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to the Director, Wastewater Design and Construction Division, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 463, Fairfax, VA 22035-0056, Fax Number 703 324-3943, or via e-mail at Magdi.Imbabi@fairfaxcounty.gov with a copy to Matthew.Doyle2@fairfaxcounty.gov. To be given consideration, questions must be received at least seven (7) Calendar days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. Information will only be disseminated from this office. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the County.
