**As of September 26, 2019, project was awarded to J.J.R Construction, Inc. for $3,118,281.32. A Class A, Contractors License is required for this work. Work will be done and payments will be made in accordance with provisions more particularly described in the plans and specifications. The scope of work generally includes: the installation of new curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway aprons, raised cycle track, ADA curb ramps, retaining curbs and walls, landscape planters, roadside bio-rentention areas, traffic signals, signing and striping, storm drain inlets, storm drain catch basins, adjusting utilities to grade and hot mix asphalt. No Pre-Bid meeting has been scheduled for this project. Bids are required for the entire work described herein in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The Engineers Estimate is between $2,300,000 and $2,700,000 for the Base Bid and is between $1,100,000 and 1,300,000 for Bid Alternate 1. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him (1) enter into a contract with the City and (2) furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the privilege of rejecting any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for opening of proposals. As a Public Works project and pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates for San Mateo County shall apply to this contract, as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations.
