Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Manteno, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work includes earthwork excavation, earth moving, masonry retaining walls, concrete curb and sidewalk work, asphalt paving, asphalt imprinting, installation of stamped concrete, flag pole installation, base and rough electrical work. The contractor shall not pay less than prevailing wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing the work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12) Consideration of project award by the Manteno CUSD 5 Board may require bidders to demonstrate the following qualifications. 1. Must have completed a minimum of two projects in the past five years of similar size and scope, each valued at $50,000 or more, 2. Must have completed a minimum of $20,000.00 of stamped concrete work in the past five years, 3. General contractor must perform a minimum of 51 percent of the work. All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashiers check, certified check, or bid bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract will be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities in the bid or bid process.
