Project consists of replacing approximately 1,600 feet of storm sewer through three (3) rear yard easements by directionally drilling 12" PVC storm sewer pipe. Proposed storm sewer will include multiple 2' Dia. Type A inlets in the easement and two (2) 4' Dia. manholes at the connection to the existing storm sewer main. The existing residential sump pump and other private service connections shall be located and re-connected to the proposed storm sewer. Project will also include open cut installation, manhole reconstruction, landscape restoration, coordination with residents, and all other work necessary to complete the project per the plans and specifications. Only qualified Contractors will be allowed to receive Plans and bid on this project. A "Statement of Experience" may be requested in order to receive the Bid Documents. The Village of Manteno reserves the right to only issue Bid Documents to Contractors who are regarded as qualified. 3. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions." The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions". 5. The Village of Manteno may disqualify a bidder for outstanding debts to the Village. 6. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty the bidder has examined the plans and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The Awarding Authority will in no case be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses, or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the bidder.
