Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Project Location-Derry Street from 14th Street to 15th Street The Work for this Project includes, but is not limited to, installation of right-of-way green stormwater infrastructure (GSI), including sidewalk planters, tree trenches, and subsurface storage trenches; installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps and curb extensions for pedestrian safety improvements; and installation of precast concrete ornamental planters and site furnishings for streetscape improvements. The Work is geographically located on, or close to, Derry Street between 14th Street and 15th Street in the City of Harrisburg.The Work includes all materials, equipment, labor, necessary apparatuses, and other miscellaneous labor and materials as contemplated by the Contract Documents. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.ll questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted electronically in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. Notice is hereby given that Capital Region Water has adopted the Minority Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Plan to ensure that minority, women and other disadvantaged business enterprises have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in all project-related construction contracts. Note that the Plan has been updated with new requirements. It is the intent of Capital Region Water to ensure nondiscrimination in the award and administration of contracts, to create a level playing field on which minority, women, veteran, service-disabled-veteran, and LGBT-owned business enterprises can compete fairly for Capital Region Water contracts and subcontracts, to help remove barriers to the participation of minority, women, veteran, service-disabled veteran, and LGBT-owned business enterprises and to assist the development of firms that can compete successfully in the marketplace outside of this program. CRW will establish minimum participation levels (MPLs) for the MBEs, WBEs and other DBEs on a project by project basis. The Bidder must submit documentary evidence of solicitations to DBEs which have been contacted and to which commitments have been made, concurrently with the Bid using forms provided. Notice also is given that the Project for which construction bids are being solicited is a project constituting public work. The Contract Documents specify the Pennsylvania prevailing wage rate requirements for the Project and are attached to the Bidding Documents. The wage rates will also be posted in a conspicuous location, visible to all of the contractors employees. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to Capital Region Water in an amount of not less than ten percent of the total Bid Price in accordance with the provisions in the Instructions to Bidders. Capital Region Water reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in a bid or the bid procedure, and to accept any Bid deemed to be favorable to its interests.
