Replace City Hall back-up generator to avert impacts of power outages/failures. Project engineers estimate high potential for failure given full engineering assessment dating to 2004. Maintenance actions were completed over time that mediated replacement. Priority is required as the generator serves as the back-up to City Hall operations, and the City and Dutchess County 911 call centers located at City Hall As January 23, 2023, this project is currently in the FY 2023 - 2027 CIP. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2024. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024. This project includes replacement of the backup generator which serves City Hall in the event of a power outage. The project dates back to 2004. A full Engineering Assessment Form and site plan was prepared at that time. In early 2018, several maintenance measures were undertaken to postpone the immediate necessity of replacing the generator, but we will need to provide for its replacement within a couple of years. In addition to City Hall, the generator also facilitates the City's 911 Center and the Dutchess County Back-up site for 911 (also contained in City Hall).
